Audience: Personnel responsible for writing business proposals, letters, memos, or reports intended to persuade, influence, or initiate a response 

Objectives: Upon successful completion students will be able to:
  • set objectives for the writing task
  • analyze the primary, secondary, and intermediate audiences
  • determine sources and degree of resistance
  • determine content (influence inputs)
  • organize and label content
  • write and edit various letters and memos

Content: Topics include:
  • developing objectives for the writing task
  • identifying primary, secondary, and intermediate audiences
  • determining sources and degree of resistance
  • organizing and labelling content
  • writing and editing various proposals

Activities: Mini-lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, workshops  

Class Size: Up to 12 attendees 

Duration: 3 days
