Audience: PBX installation and maintenance technicians, designers and system engineers, those who want to challenge the Cisco QoS certification exam. 

Objectives: Upon successful completion students will be able to:
  • Describe potential QoS problems in a network
  • Implement and manage MCQ and AutoQoS on the network
  • Define and implement a QoS policy on a converged network
  • Implement appropriate queuing mechanisms to manage congestion
  • Implement congestion avoidance schemes on a converged network
  • Configure and implement traffic shaping and policing to control network traffic
  • Understand SRR and WRR in LAN and WAN environments

  • IP QoS Introduction and terminology
  • QoS command line and Auto-QoS
  • Converged network policy-based QoS
  • Traffic classification and marking
  • Congestion management and avoidance
  • Traffic policing and shaping
  • Link efficiency
  • QoS best practice scenarios
  • SRR and WRR

Activities: Lecture, individual and group exercises, hands-on practice

Assessment: A comprehensive course exam will be given based on class material.
