Audience: Personnel responsible for installing and maintaining mobile radio antenna systems 

Objectives: Upon successful completion students will be able to:
  • correctly and safely perform the appropriate tests and alignments
  • measurement procedures on mobile radio antennas and associated RF equipment, both mobile and base
  • define VSWR, Intermod and RFI as it applies to antenna systems

Content: Topics include:
  • coaxial lines and RF connectors (mechanical characteristics)
  • transmission line theory
  • transmission line circuits
  • antennas
  • Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)
  • selective (filter) cavities
  • duplexers
  • combiners and multicouplers

Activities: Lecture, hands-on exercises  

Class Size: Up to 5 attendees 

Duration: 3 days
