Prerequisites: An understanding of PBX, LAN and WAN technologies is required. Experience with SIP and IP based telephony is helpful. Previous courses involving Avaya Communication Manager administration are recommended but not required.  

Audience: Installers, administrators and technicians responsible for the maintenance of Avaya Aura Communication Servers and their associated gateways. 

Objectives: Upon successful completion students will be able to:
  • Plan and prepare installation components, including SIP endpoints
  • Install and configure the system platform on S8800/S8300D servers
  • Utilize Contact Center Manager Administration
  • Install and test templates
  • Configure G430/G450/G650 gateways for PSTN access, SIP trunking
  • Provision IP telephones
  • Understand backup and restore procedures
  • Administer Communication Manager
  • Understand the Avaya Aura system platform
  • Troubleshoot basic configuration issues
